On June 2, 2026, the City of Beaumont proclaimed June 26th as “Babe Zaharias Day in Beaumont.” Hester Bell and Paula Bothe accepted on behalf of the board of directors of the Babe Zaharias Foundation. The day, Babe’s 115th Birthday, will be celebrated by the City with a showing of “Babe – The Babe Zaharias Story,” about her life.
